Caller ID and Spam Protection

How to Enable Caller ID and Spam Protection on Android (OS 11 and Above)

To identify incoming calls and block spam, robocalls, and other unwanted numbers, Truecaller must be set as your default Caller ID & Spam app.


Enable from Truecaller Settings

  1. Open the Truecaller app

  2. Tap the profile icon (top left corner)

  3. Go to Settings > Calls

  4. Under Troubleshoot Caller ID, tap Enable

  5. When prompted, select Truecaller as the default


Alternate Option: Open Truecaller app > Long press on Calls to have Truecaller calls set as default.



Enable from Device Settings

  1. Go to your phone's Settings

  2. Navigate to Apps > Default apps

  3. Tap on Caller ID and spam app

  4. Choose Truecaller
